Flourishing Faith Week 13

The last few weeks have been tough. How about you? Have you had to walk through negativity, confrontation, or a hard circumstance? We have been going through so many things at one time, at one point I thought Ashton Kutcher was going to pop out and tell me I am being "punked." If you are young, it was a show on TV a long time ago haha.

One thing I have realized walking through things with my children, marriage, and work is that it's important how we handle the tough things. It's not "if" something happens but it truly is "when." Scripture tells us that we will face MANY trials but it also tells us that we are not alone. I am also teaching my kids this.

I wish this blog article gave you all the tips to overcome your tough weeks, but honestly I don't think there are enough tips to get us through. Instead, I want to remind you that you are not alone. I also wanted to remind you to give yourself GRACE (not just some but LOTS). Everybody has "stuff" and tough weeks. I know I put WAY too much pressure on myself and I end up staying awake until 2 am going through 500 "what if" scenarios and conversations in my head. Seriously! If yall only knew what went through my brain!

So although I don't know what can relieve your stress or help you have a better week other than I know God is for you and loves you unconditionally. I want to point you to His Word because I know that is where you will find renewed strength and will help you take a breath. I love each of you and always here for you. Feel free to reply and send a prayer request if you want specific prayer. You are not alone.

Prayer of the week:

Lord, I need you. I need you. I need you. I can't fix all the things in my life and I am tired. Help me open up your Word this week for renewed strength. Audibly speak to me and guide me closer to you. I pray for discernment and wisdom that can only come from you.Help me hide your Word in my heart and be light out in the dark world. In Jesus name,

Scripture of the week:

"The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe." Proverbs 18:10

Tool of the week:

As you go through this week, listen to the song below. Get in a quiet space with a journal and be quiet and listen to the words. Allow the Holy Spirit to flood you with His peace and I pray you feel your spirit calm. This song got me through one of the hardest times of my life in 2018.
