Adult habits are the hardest to break. As a mommy of 2 boys and a work from home mom, the words “where did the time go,” often spill out of my mouth. By the end of the day, half of the most important things on my list end up transferred to tomorrow’s list. Weeks went by before realizing that I was that “I’ll do that in a minute Mom.” You know the mom that is “too busy” to stop and color or do a puzzle. The woman too busy to open up and read the Bible. The wife that is “too tired” to give her husband attention in the evenings. The things on my big plate of life were starting to paralyze me to where I wasn’t do anything.
It was time to take an “audit” of where the minutes were disappearing to. I blocked out 3 days to document what I did each day, but it only took 4 hours to pinpoint my distractions. I realized that I wasn’t auditing my time. I was defining my distractions that sucked away the minutes that ultimately led to frustration.
