It Is Finished

There are 3 words that can define hope, IT IS FINISHED.We are about to celebrate Easter, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I grew up as a "preacher's kid" so I have heard this story more then 6,789 times. And sometimes when you hear something over and over it can lose its meaning or value. Well, NOT the greatest LOVE story that ever existed. In the Bible, it tell us in John 19 that he bowed his head and gave up his spirit and said "It is Finished."Jesus was brutally beaten and hung on a cross to die. He did this so he could bear our sins and we could be forgiven and have a way to God, who created us all. So many people hated Jesus but Jesus walked out His ministry and fulfilled God's prophecy that was written hundreds and hundreds years prior. Our sin was great but God's love for us was greater, he sent His own son to die so we could have life. Without His death, there would never be a resurrection.IT IS FINISHED.We have HOPE.

"But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

My prayer for you as Easter approaches is that you choose to focus on this Hope. You have a Savior that died and ROSE for you, he is ALIVE. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He created us for a purpose. Are you living wounded or healed? "By his stripes WE are HEALED." Choose to belief this truth. It's time to worship our risen Savior who shed his blood and suffered a shameful death, so we don't have to live a shameful life. Rise up beloved, IT IS FINISHED.We have HOPE.
