Joy Comes in the Morning
Saturday morning my inlaw's and our little family of 4 hiked up a small mountain to watch the sunrise. This time of year is absolutely beautiful in East TN and I could not wait to see all of the fall colors. We left in plenty of time so once we made the short hike we had about 20 minutes before the sun started to rise! This is what it looked like right before:
My heart couldn't wait for the sun to slowly come up from the mountains and for it to shine on the colorful leaves. About 5 minutes left before the sunrise my boys started getting restless, mainly because they are boys and standing in one area for more then 2 minutes seems like an eternity to them, but I kept telling them to wait because they are about to witness something incredible. Then, it happened:
I could feel the beautiful heat of the sun and tears welled up in my eyes because that sun was a reminder that
"Joy comes in the morning... " Psalm 30 (my favorite scripture).
My heart started reflecting back to about a month ago when Jamie and I started our "small" online Bible study. We thought we would get about 100 ladies between us, so we waited in anticipation as women started inviting their friends to join us. I screamed out loud when the number hit over 1,000 with about a week to go before we started. God's provision and plan was much bigger because on day 1 of the Bible study we had over 8500 women ALL OVER THE WORLD joining us on our facebook page. I felt God's warmth in my soul much like the sun rising to warm our face.Jamie and I are so excited to grow our community of women who we truly believe are all BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED! We want to WELCOME you in hopes you come alongside us as we wait together to feel God's warmth and beauty all around us!
